The plot summary of Karamati Coat
The movie begins with Raju waking up early in the morning and going to school with his friends Ganesh (Swapnesh Sawant), Venu (Vikram Acharya), Jugal (Yash Naik), and Ballu (Mukesh). They are all poor children who live in a slum near the sea. Raju's teacher (Amrik Gill) is kind and supportive of him, but he often gets scolded by his sister Saroj for not helping her with the household chores. Saroj is unhappy with her marriage to Magan, who is a lazy and abusive man. He often beats her and Raju, and spends all their money on gambling and drinking.
One day, after school, Raju meets a stranger who calls himself Jaggu (Irrfan Khan). Jaggu is dressed in a fancy suit and carries a briefcase. He tells Raju that he is a businessman who travels around the world. He says that he likes Raju and wants to give him a gift. He opens his briefcase and shows Raju a red coat. He says that the coat is very special and has a secret power. He asks Raju to try it on and see for himself. Raju is hesitant at first, but he agrees to wear the coat. Jaggu then tells him to put his hand in the coat's pocket and see what happens. Raju does so and is amazed to find a shiny rupee coin in his hand. Jaggu tells him that the coat will produce a coin every time he puts his hand in the pocket, as long as he wears it. He says that the coat is now Raju's and he can do whatever he wants with it. He also warns him to be careful and not let anyone else know about the coat's magic. He then leaves, saying that he will come back someday to see how Raju is doing.
Raju is overjoyed with his new coat and runs to show it to his friends. They are all surprised and curious about the coat, but Raju does not tell them about its power. He just says that it was a gift from a friend. He then invites them to go to a nearby shop and buy some sweets with the coin he got from the coat. They agree and go with him. On the way, they encounter a gang of thieves who are planning to rob a bank. The leader of the gang is Bade Miyan (Manohar Singh), who is Jaggu's uncle. He is accompanied by his two henchmen, Chhote Miyan (B.M. Shah) and Doctor (Narendra Gupta). They see Raju and his friends and decide to follow them, thinking that they might have some money.
Raju and his friends reach the shop and buy some sweets with the coin. They also buy some balloons and toys for themselves. They are having a lot of fun, when they notice that the gang of thieves is watching them from a distance. They get scared and run away from the shop, leaving behind some of their purchases. The gang follows them and catches up with them near a bridge. They demand that Raju and his friends give them all their money and belongings, or else they will beat them up. Raju tries to resist, but he is overpowered by the gang. Bade Miyan snatches Raju's coat from him and searches its pockets for money. He finds nothing but a coin, which he throws away in disgust. He then throws the coat on the ground and kicks it aside. He tells Raju that his coat is worthless and he should be ashamed of wearing such a rag.
Raju is heartbroken and angry at losing his coat. He picks up the coin that Bade Miyan threw away and throws it back at him, hitting him on the head. Bade Miyan gets furious and slaps Raju hard, knocking him down. He then orders his men to beat up Raju and his friends. They start hitting them with sticks and stones, while Raju and his friends cry for help.
Meanwhile, Jaggu, who was watching everything from afar, decides to intervene. He comes out of hiding and confronts Bade Miyan, calling him by his name. Bade Miyan is shocked to see Jaggu, whom he thought was dead. He asks him how he survived the accident that killed his parents years ago.
